Good morning one and all,
Angry Mann here.
Last night I witnessed a football match, a football match full of hope and change, hopes that Shout
FC will win and that there will be no change at the top of the divisional table.
I have been gripped by that tanned
american Borat Osama. For those not as politically astute as me, President
Osama has just been elected to the office of president of America. From his beginnings in mud hut in Africa it has been a great transformation for the man as he has brought about change and has reached the
pinnacle in politics.
Why am I saying this you might ask?
Well it was something I was discussing with my players prior to the match with the Gars. I said to them,
"This season we have seen change! We have seen players develop, we have seen players brought in and most of all we have seen a change in our fortunes. We sit top of the table and that is one change that I do not want to be changed again!"
I felt the players responded in a fantastical manner,
Sénor Cordozo my
argentinan superstar said something that moved me deeply,
"Usted idiota alemán! Estoy aquí para el dinero. Hacele para esta conversación de tonterías!"And although I don't speak a work of
Argentinean I felt he summed up the
sentimentality's of the squad in an excellent manner.
We went onto the field at Shout Park like a fish into a lake. Surrounded by water and happy. Happy to be alive and happy to breath under the water.
It was a perfect day and perfect conditions to play, dry, bright and warm enough to don the banana hammock.
I felt we had the best of the early figurative exchanges but it was the enemy who took the lead after thirty two minutes.
Thankfully it was but ten minutes when Bryan Daniels equalised netting his sixth goal of the campaign. It was an important time just before the change of
half's.
At half time I said nothing. Absolutely nothing. I did not go into the change room but instead chose to buy a t-shirt. I must voice my opinion right now! I am disappointed with the Shout Football Club marketing department. I still receive no clothes embroidered with Shout
FC! It was one of the conditions on my arrival but I still receive nothing. But I have grown to love it here and feel I do not want this oversight to get in my way and instead spend my own money on purchasing a lovely
tshirt. I am happy!
And even happier when
Sénor Cordozo sent an unstoppable header into the goal net to put my team in the lead.
There were scares but at the end of the day I felt my friends deserved to win.
Shout
Fc remain top of the Division and afterwards we all celebrated with
bratwurst and Bavarian beer!
In other news my
Saturday youth draft bore no fruits, I did get a 14 rated player but only a central defender, a place where I feel that I have plenty of
youthfull players who can play to a high standard.
Tomorrow night we play
Clonsilla United, they are a mid table team who I believe we should beat.
But that remains to be seen.
